Ambassadors
Major Objective - Represent Guide
Dogs of Texas at off-site events such as Trade Shows, Health Fairs,
Community Events, etc.
Responsibilities
1. Obtain display materials from Guide Dog office.
2. Arrive on time and set up booth with approved materials.
3. Wear Guide Dogs of Texas T-shirt and name badge.
4. Engage people at the event to spark interest in GDTx.
5. Track all inquiries donations, sales and then return them to the GDTx
office..
6. No smoking while working booth.
7. Be courteous and polite, it makes a lasting impression.
8. Repackage all display materials and return them to the GDTx office.
Qualifications
1. Be cheerful and have a positive attitude.
2. Good communication and people skills.
3. Have transportation.
4. Have the ability to disseminate accurate information.
5. Be dependable.
6. Be willing to adhere to the policies and procedures as instructed.
Training
1. Attend volunteer orientation.
2. Complete media release.
3. Complete booth training.
Time and Place
Times and places will vary with each event.
Commitment
Be able to participate in four events per year.
Supervision
Direct supervision by the Volunteer Coordinator and indirect supervision
by the GDTx staff.
